Short form video is our group project that has been carried over the same time period as post production, We have been working in our groups to produce on film “hostage” but from different views and directions. my group is documentary and we have been working recently on the interviews involved in our documentary production. We have been making sure that where and how we shot the films have been in the particular style that we want to create that bring a very off the cuff Documented feel without it appearing scripted (which it obviously is)
The Project has been tough.. being a group project you very much rely on your team to meet deadlines and work as they say they will, We have been working pretty much flat out recently as some of the group have realized that they have slacked in some areas..

Another half of this project has been the website that will be the base of where the film is viewed, the aim is to produce a working website that users can browse and view the different groups sides/angles of the whole story although we will very much be pushing the user to watch in order like any other series/film we want to alow freedom for them to do as they please in that respect.
I have been working on the website which we are building in flash along with Lynne and Dan, Lynne as worked purely on the design and I have been doing the animation along with support from Dan on some of the javascript. I have found this to be a really smooth way of working, and this small team has worked well to produce the website as well as video work for the whole group.
here are some screen shots and images of the website design and flash building process. I have purchased a domain for the site at www.hostagefilm.eu so once the site is up and running it will appear here.

We have been working on the flash file quite rigorously and we have been looking in to video and media streaming whereby the video files can be hosted on a media server at the AUCB and we can have the front page at a more accessible position on my hosting, We are also working with .txt files for the bio page you will see in the javascript each bio page links to a .txt file, this is much easier if we ever needed to adjust the text for a Bio.
